Dead Space 2

PRICE = $10-30
PLAYERS = 1 to 2

HOW DOES THE GAME LIVE UP TO IT'S EXPLANATION/BOX ART? (9/10)

the cover - Well after playing the first Dead Space, I already know what i am in store for. But the cover of this game doesn't really give the 'new gamer' any idea of what to expect.

the back - But here's where it tells you what's going on. Isaac Clarke (the same character from the first game) awakes from a coma and like the movie series ALIENS, the government is trying to 'hush hush' what he went through. But, there is a new outbreak going on and Isaac is having a hard time remembering anything at all.

Oh yeah, dismemberment is still your only means of survival.

HOW IS THE GAME PLAY? (10/10)

Now as most sequels go... they always try to add some new elements into the game that change the experience of the first game and annoy the crap out of you.. This time? It is not the case in the least. The only new things in this game is some system hack stuff which doesn't effect the game at all, and a few new styles of weaponry that just add new ways of blowing monsters to pieces.

I played through this game twice so far and I've had no glitch problems, no save problems, or any other sort of problems. If you loved the first one - You will love this one.

HOW DOES THE GAME LIVE UP TO IT'S GENRE? (10/10)

Like i said about the first game. If you love the newer Resident Evil game play style, you will love this game. It picked up 3 years after the last game and you get tossed straight back into the mayhem. I enjoyed this game so much i played straight through it in almost one sitting the first time. And straight through it again in one sitting.

I throughly enjoy the horror genre videogames and i love them even more when there is no control problems.

THE 'GAME OVER' ALL? (97%)

There's not too much you can get out of old light gun games except a little nostalgia, but if I was in the mood to just blow away my old scores or my friends, i could probably play this game for quite a long period of time.
I loved playing all these light gun games as a child, and i still enjoyed it now, but the lack of more scenes kind of knocked me into a bored state pretty fast.
Though if i had someone else at the house playing it with me, i know i would have had a lot more fun sitting down with this game.

arbitrary credit for gore and nudity = 6
(Dismemberment to the max and some naked monsters to do it to.)
